PROFOLIO: Neal Grundy
Neal Grundy is a freelance commercial photographer with fifteen years of experience. He has worked with Nike, Adidas, and Sneakers Magazine (to name a few). Neil states, "Freeze-motion imagery is back on trend in the advertising world. This is a great way to injecting explosive energy into still life photography. All ads aim to grab your attention, but, in our over-saturated media environment, this is increasingly difficult to achieve." Neil manages to catch the viewer's attention with his images and keep it. This image was produced for Drum and Bass Dj Macky Gees latest single.
This was one of the messiest shoots I have ever done. But I love the results and it was worth the mess in my opinion.
This image was produced for Sneakers magazine.
To produce this work, sneakers were suspended in a large glass tank full of water. I poured a mixture of colour matched paint, ink, and dye into the water, allowing the mix to blossom naturally and surround the sneaker.
